I was not really all that excited for this book to come out. I found within the last couple of books in this series I couldn't believe the couples stories and were mostly reading the books for more on the inner workings of Whitney and all his behind the scenes manipulations. So I started to read this one with great reservations, and then as I started ran into more. I have mixed feelings about this book. Street Game follows in the path of the previous seven GhostWalker books; its H/H are genetically paired and therefore have EXTREME feelings towards each other in their mating, the action is riviting, and the good guys are out to save the world using their genetically-manipulated physical and physic talents. Yada, yada, yada. But here's my problem, and it actually stems from Ms. Feehan's enormous talent.

I FINALLY finished reading this. I had really high hopes for this one because I've always enjoyed this series, but this one just wasn't as good as the others in my opinion. I don't know how to give half stars here on goodreads but I think this book deserves at least 3.5 stars.

I didn't love it as much as some in the past and can't put my finger on the why of it except to say that it was too long and drawn out. I'm all for technical accuracy but not when it becomes the story more than the romance. ...more
