This was a pretty good shoot-em-up-bang-bang action story, with an OK romance featured. I'm not sure whether the author intended the action or the romance to be primary, she ought to have made that clear.
I had a problem with not enough of the hero's thought processes being revealed. We see him move from 'any emotion is a bad thing' to admitting to himself that he has fallen in love.
