I decided to give kiss of midnight a chance after reading a few reviews that compared it to JR Wards "Black Dagger Brotherhood series". So in the beginning this book was already doomed, since i am admittedly an avid reader of The BDB Series. Even if that wasn't a factor in my decision, i still would of found this book to drag on more than it should have. typical vampire i need to find a mate book with an edge of suspense and action it has a good plot and excellent characters but the story is just okay nothing to rush to the book store for.
I'm glad that I finally read the 1st book in the Midnight Breed Series. I enjoyed this paranormal romance, and am very excited to continue the series. I liked the two main characters, Gabrielle and Lucan, and there were some good secondary ones as well. I hope some of them will turn up as main characters in subsequent books. The storyline caught my attention right away and held it throughout the book. I'm looking forward to catching up on the rest of this series.

I read this series a few months ago and really liked them. They're very much like J.R. Wards books. I'm rereading it again as I read throught them really fast. So far, so verra nice.
