After being an avid romance reader for the past 15 years, this is the first book I've ever reviewed. I felt compelled to review this book because it is quite simply the best that I've ever read,...(and I've read a lot!).

Reading the book I eventually I gave up on the idea that it this a historical romance novel cause it's the story of an alcoholic.
Since I read so many good reviews for this Putney novel and he has also won some awards, I expected more.
