This is how Italians envision Zarek of Moesia. Yum. And let me tell you, his love words to Astrid, “la mia stella” (my star)... ahhh... they sound much sexier in Italian.★★★½✩ Okay. This was a good read. By that I mean well written and a well developed world setting. It is just that it is pretty depressing reading about all the abuse Zarek suffered through-out his lifetime. Especially as a child. He was feared and rejected – for the most part unfairly – over and over. And for centurie ...more

Despite it's flaws (Kenyon tends to repeat herself, and she's obviously ripping off Buffy and Charmed)- I like the series. It's all about the characters, dude. I love them, and though the heroes all tend to look and act alike ... you just gotta love them too.
Dance with the Devil, is considered one of the best in the Dark Hunter series. Although it's a good story, I wouldn't say it's my favorite so far. Zarek is a one hard, tortured hero and considering his past, he has every right to be.

I really connected with these characters (Zarek and Astrid). I felt Zarek's pain and could relate to the way Astrid responded to him. So, I did enjoy this book, however, it was a bit wordy in some places and I did find myself skimming over some of it, especially the parts with Simi... she was a bit weird and had a tendency to ramble. And of course this book left me with a desire to know more about Acheron!!

"Dance With the Devil" by Sherrilyn Kenyon was an action-packed, emotional rollercoaster that marks the third installment in the Dark-Hunter series!
Zarek does not know the meaning of kindness, and he does not care what other people think of him. So, it is no surprise that everyone, including a few gods and goddesses, want him dead for one reason or another. After barely surviving an attack from various squires and supernatural foes, Zarek wakes to find himself in the home of a very attractive an ...more

Ok, this is what happened. I didn't want to read it but I couldn't exactly pass up reading about Zarek. He was so mean and so cold. Literally, he was stationed in Alaska. And he was pretty much kept there for 900 years or so. Oh and I loved the whole Rumpelstiltskin scene. I thought that was pretty hardcore funny. I was thinking, “Oh yeah, Zarek is bad”.

Love Zarek! This series is fabulous if you like "adult" paranormal romance. Funny, romantic and a storyline you will never guess. Each book is better than the one before it!
