I have never read anything by Linda Howard before, but this one was at Costco while I was shopping and I loved the pumps on the cover...I was pleasantly surprised and enjoyed the PNR slant on the suspense and the sex appeal of both characters was palpable...most enjoyable!

I find this author to be very hit or miss for me, but this one was a big hit. From the start I loved Drea. I may not have agreed with her choices, but I did like that she was 100% sure of where she was, what she was doing, and where her place was in the life she had chooses, she in no way lied to herself to make herself feel/look better.

It is a story about a drug lord's girlfriend, an assassin (Holy...Smokin...ASSASSIN!), second-chances and dramatic life changes. It started off smokingly and then dragged for quite a bit before picking up again. I felt there just wasn't enough development between the leads. The thing I've loved about Howard's books is the sizzle and banter between the leads. This book lacked th
