What Members Thought

What I can tell you- straight to the point- is that I enjoyed Lover Avenged more than then my last outing in the BDB (Lover Enshrined). And too, for those who are still hoping the author keeps up with writing Paranormal Romance rather than Urban Fantasy, they won't be disappointed with Lover Avenged.
Lover Avenged, Book 7 in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series, brings us Rehvenge's story. Rehv is not a member of the Brotherhood but a member of the Glymeria, the Vampiric version of The Ton. But th ...more

I simply loved this book! "Lover Avenged" was just fantastic, and I loved everything that went down from start to finish! So many revelations, so much tragedy yet so many triumphs, this book just had me in knots from the start. I loved learning more about the symphaths and the shadows and the lessers for that matter. Ehlena and Rehvenge were just perfectly matched, and their chemistry was explosive. Such a great book, I can't wait to read J.R. Ward's next book in the Black Dagger Brotherhood ser

Finally, Rehv's story. I actually bought this one before Phury's story because I was so anxious to get to it, and then I had to stop and get Phury's story because I needed it for the background. I loved Ehlena and her dediciation to her father (I am somewhat biased because I am a nurse also). The way he tries to protect everyone is so sweet and goes against his "bad boy" image. The only thing I didn't like is that there were lots of other stories going on that distracted from Rehv and Ehlena. Al

And it only gets better. In the 7th BDB book, we see Rehvenge, the gray character from previous books and the brother of Bella, get his own HEA. To say the least, Rehv is amazing. At this point, he has to be my favorite. Mostly because he honestly he is the most complex, self-sacrificing character Ward has written. Ehlena, on the other hand, is ok. I don't have much of an opinion of her. She's normal, a bit optimistic and naive, a good person really. Still, the romance is great - really well dev

Ok, something is wrong with me. Something is seriously wrong with me. I actually liked this book. That's not bad news, right? But I really didn't like anything about it!
I didn't even like Rhev. I just couldn't imagine him as sexy. The coat and cane just sounded too silly for me. I couldn't even imagine a respectable mohawk. He was a guy that did bad things, but it's ok because he hates that he had to do them. Also, he breaks the law. A lot. But it's ok because he has morals - like prostitutes ha ...more

Rehvenge is whoa. Gotta love that guy. Normally, a brother doesn't start out sweet and lovey-dovey with their female. But Rehv totally blew me away with his charms.
