She's done it again!! Ms Cole has managed to write a story which I was not expecting and kept me guessing what would happen. This is quickly becoming one of my favorite series!!! Conrad is the long lost Wroth brother, he hated being turned and did not adapt as well as his brothers. He is a red-eyed vampire waiting to have his revenge. But his brothers capture him before he can get to them and lock him away at Elancourt.

This book sparkled from the first sentence. I admit I had my doubt about a vampire in his blood lust and a ghost but Ms. Kresley Cole made it work and did it beautifully. Conrad was was a hero to die for. His passion mixed with his innocence, his intelligence and his need to protect Néomi at all costs. How can I not fall for this man? By the end of the book I was like :

Really a 3.5. Liked the characters and everything, wasn't really satisfied with the ending though. Had too much of a deus ex machina feel to it.
