I have to rate this another 5 star read by Kresley Cole. Even though the plot was a lot different than the other books in the series, I still found this one hard to put down. It just felt so unusual to me, but in a good way. Mad vampire assassin meets lonely, beautiful ballerina ghost and falls in love against all odds--I just wasn't expecting that! So much better than the twisting plotline crap of #4, this next installment in the Immortals After Dark series focuses on the simple story of the lonely ghost Neomi and the recovering blood-addict vampire Conrad. The storyline is sweet and straightforward - can a non-corporeal ghost really find love? - and the characters have much more depth because of it. Thank you, Ms. Cole, for redeeming this series for me.

i really liked this book kresley cole is making her way up my list of best author's all of her characters have amazing depth and all of her storylines take the paranormal romance theme and twist it into something new and different

As always, Kresley Cole delivers! Super steamy, great plot, and never fails to crack me up either (e.g. Conrad's brother revealing his "embarassing secret" in Neomi's presence!) I'm always a little giddy when I hit the checkout line with one of these books in my hand; if you haven't tried this series yet, do!
