What Members Thought
So I read this book after seeing it on many recommended lists.
I liked it, I didn't love it.
Things I liked.
1. The world which these novels inhabit. You can tell a lot of thought and energy went into the world building here.
2. The actual Brotherhood and the easy banter of the Brothers. They felt like comrades, brother-in-arms.
3. Beth. For once I liked the female character more than the male protanginist. She was smart, capable and although she fell madly in love with no reason at all (apart from a ...more

I liked it. Not a big fan of the paranormal genre and found it hard to think of the vampires in a hero's role. I may eventually seek out other books in the series but I haven't been sold on the genre by any means.

Her character growth is usually nothing short of excellent, and like I wrote in my review for Lover Avenged, she really gets you into the character's heads and really helps you understand who they are and why they do what they do. And the romance wa

I guess one could call this a classic paranormal romance...back from the days of flipper cell phones and calling a cab rather than an Uber.
A fun read if you like this genre, which I do! So much so, in fact, that I put all my reading challenges challenge aside again and jumped into the next book in the series, Lover Eternal. I was not feeling well (side-effects of my second dose of COVID vaccine) and I needed comfort, which for some reason I always get from sexy vampires. If that's wrong, I don' ...more

The fact is I've been reading it for 5 times now, along with all the series and also the Insider's Guide. Call me crazy, but i really have my own vampire world simply by reading all the series. I've never been this attached with books before.
Every characters have their own power that makes me love all of them. This book is just the start of addiction of the series. If you like paranormal romance books, try this one as a start of all the series. Highly recommended.
