I think this book is my favorite of the series. Jack is a hard man, but he does have a code that he lives by. He is haunted by things that happened in his past that definately color how he views relationships with women. Briony is able to sneak past those issues. While at first glance she seems like a fluff ball, she does have a inner strength that everyone including her family misses.

It's been a long time since I read a Ghostwalker book because this one was not in Kindle format. This book was not like to the others to me. The story never really got deep into the relationship. There was no heated conflict that they really had to overcome. I was at the end of the story before I realized it (my kindle still has %of book read). I liked it, but not as much as the rest.
