4.25 stars. Nice, but not much action during the first 3/4 of the book.

I’ve winced a total number of 263 times while reading this trilogy. Turns out I can’t read the words “my pet” without wincing or flinching, unless they refer to an actual pet animal, that is. Not since BLAIR. This phrase might well be one of the reasons why I couldn’t find it in myself to like Julian as much as I like Peter, for instance.

I loved Anna Zaires' Twist Me series - Twist Me, Keep Me, and Hold Me. When I started Twist Me, I wondered whether the author could make Julian acceptable as a romantic partner. Not only because of the kidnapping, but because of his sadistic sexual tendencies. Julian is a powerful man. Loved the entire series! This author's writing is wonderful (loved her other Krinar chronicles which also features an OTT obsessive H) and she really knows how to write an alpha "evil" male who's absolutely obsessed and helplessly enthralled by the h. Her books only got better and by the start of the second book, I became attached to our lead couple and their unhealthy cravings for each other. Julian is definitely one of the most controlling and obsessive males I've ever read about and I love hi ...more

This last book in the trilogy fell flat to me. Only the last quarter of the book was interesting and exhilarating (which then upped the book from 2 stars to 3 stars for me). If the rest of the book had been as exciting as the end then this would have been a 4 (or even a 5) star book! I'm glad that Julian and Nora have their HEA after what they've gone through. This is just a very strange trilogy as the way it began (as a simple kidnap island erotica in book 1 to how violent book 3 was) was reall ...more
