A solid 3.5 rating, but I just can't give it more. The Drake books always caught me up much more than Feehan's Carpathians because they contained more action and less emotional drama. The first half of Water Bound was all angsty stuff, as the author was showing us the emotional interaction between Lev Paraniskii and Rikki Sitham. This series is based in Sea Haven, and one of the heroine’s in this series is actually a cousin to the Drake Sisters.

You remember how good the first couple of Shadow Walkers was and how good those first couple of her Seven Sisters was? This book was good like those books were, she took her time and wrote the best story she could and I loved it! I won't go over the entire story, but Lev and Rikki really worked well together for me as a couple and their romance was hot. Rikki's autism and raw childhood never slowed her down.
