Reread in January 2016.
I am working my way through a reread to get ready for the next books in the series, and I also just plain love the Prakenskii brothers (they're Russian, enough said!) and the Sisters of the Heart, the found family of women who buy a farm together and are united by personal tragedy and their gifts of power over the elements.
I can easily say this is still my favorite so far (out of the first 3 books), although I loved to the third power Water Bound and I really did enjoy Spi ...more

I found Airiana to be interesting, most especially how she kept complaining about the Prakenskii brothers. I really thought she would fight a relationship when one of the brothers came her way, instead she accepted Maxim without much of a fuss. Airiana seemed to be more upset over her father and what he wanted from her, which was very warranted.
What really saved the book for me was the kids. I loved seeing Airiana and Maxim dealing with the kids and making a decision that those kids would be th ...more

It feels like I've waited forever for Air Bound to come out as the last one came out in 2011! { Water Bound #1 // Spirit Bound #2}
Which really does seem like such a long time ago now, can I say it was worth the wait, yes and no. I did enjoy Air Bound it was exactly what I'd come to expect from The Sister of the Heart series and in that sense it didn't let me down, although Air Bound was slightly different from what I had expected due to the storyline. This is a hard hitting story, full of heartbreak and fast paced action.
Airiana is a genius, she has the ability to read the air around her, it warns her of danger, but she’s never really believed in her ability, she thinks she’s going mad, her brain won’t shut down, she’s going to end up like her mother,
Maxim is another Prakenskii brother. He’s come to take Airiana to see her father, but under the cover of darkness and over his shoulder?! That’s not the normal way to meet a parent you didn’t e ...more

As usual, Ms. Feehan was verbose, angsty and repeated herself often...BUT...This was a very good book and a nice addition to the series. I may have decided to stop reading her Carpathian books but I plan to keep on reading on her Sea Haven ones.

Maybe CF's heart isn't in writing this series anymore. A lot of repetitave word filler and the heroine's personality kept changing for me to keep up. However, I am not going to give up on the series...we still have 3 "lost" brothers out there that need love.

This is definitely my fav book of the series so far! I had trouble connecting to the characters in the previous books but I really enjoyed Ariaiana & Maxim's story.
Still waiting for them to be reunited with Ilya!! ...more
