What Members Thought
People have continually told me to try out some Feehan books. I tried one, and didn't like it, but everyone still encouraged me to try another. They said that book (don't remember title) wasn't her best in the Carpathian series and to give another one a try. That I'd just love it.
Well...if I could give this one 1 1/2 stars, I'd be happier. There were times I didn't totally dislike it.

Loved rereading this book, because of the fantastic characters, and the wonderful world it introduces us to, in such a compelling, wide-reaching series, and yeah, it was freaking amazing!

It starts out predictable- large, centuries old vampire king meets tiny young virgin- fantastic sex ensues. But it ends in a sweet romance- the story has potential- several other lonely male vampires were introduced- hmmm i wonder what the next book will be about LOL!
I thought the race she created was an interesting twist on the vampire legend. But the "hero" was too arrogant for me.

Found absolutely no intellectual subsistence in this book. It had a plot that was really shallow female protagonist that has a phobia of suffocation, and gravitates around going in the ground to heal and smut. Got a 2 out of 5.
