My first Brad Taylor novel - HIS first. Pretty darn good; gets your attention, fast, and keeps it. It will be interesting to see where this series goes, and Mr. Taylor's writing style matures.

Wow. What a smashing first novel for an author. This is where I also hate the goodreads star system. This is as close as you can get to a 5 without it being a 5. 4.5 is fully deserved, but I don't round up. The action is fast packed and smooth. The plot is great and fast moving. The beginning is hear-wrenching but needed. My only issue with the story is how many miracles Pike has to save his ass. Jennifer is a quick study but still green enough to understand her place. Pretty good debut novel from Brad Taylor although a bit long-winded and plodding at times. I felt as though the story about a member of an oversight council going rogue and attempting to start World War III was contrived. The action comes fast and furious, however, and Taylor's Pike Logan has lots of potential. Hoping that the second book has a more original story.
