I am slightly over half way finished. I lived in Europe for a number of years and got completely hooked on "spy books." The best at the time were the "Smiley Books" of LeCarre. They were full of the darkness of the world of spies and double agents, moles, betrayals, and expert tradecraft, and true believers, patriots. And LeCarre portrayed it better than most if not all. Just what I needed--a good spy thriller. Putin puts in an appearance--without a shirt, of course. Thank God, there are no photos. But there are recipes! Go figure.
