I've had The Jakarta Pandemic on my Kindle for nearly two years and hadn't gotten around to reading it. That was a mistake. This is nothing short of a brilliant look at the breakdown of society in the midst of disaster as the story shrinks from a town, to a neighborhood, to a single house as a former Marine struggles to keep his family alive.
A fantastic, gripping pageburner of a read. Highly recommended, and I look forward to reading much more from Konkoly. Five stars. ...more

Gripping.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. It kept me up late not wanting to put it down. The author did a great job with a very compelling storyline. Walking the dog the next day made me look at my neighborhood with a whole different lens. A very scary premise, executed very well. Nice job, Mr. Konkoly.

Jakarta Pandemic grabs you from page one and drags you into the rising tension of a global pandemic but on a local scale. The author creates and builds tension expertly as the everyday world that we have come to expect disappears. Life as we know it stops and a new and scary world becomes the norm. The most frightening thing about this book - the more you read the more you think that really could happen!!!
A cracking read that I highly recommend!
