Hands down, the best thriller I've read this year. . .though perhaps one of the more difficult to categorize. Nate Granzow does not adhere to so many of the tropes that have become common in the modern thriller genre, eschewing the typical choice of a competent, highly-experienced spec-ops veteran as protagonist in favor of. . .well, Grant Cogar: a hard-bitten Casanova of a journalist with a Indiana Jones-like knack for getting into trouble.
