What Members Thought
I won an advance copy of this book from Good Reads. It was the first book I had read by Ted Bell. I enjoyed it and will probably read him again. However, I felt like there were two competing stories going on at one time. The story of the super computer and the story of Alexei. I felt like this division kept both stories from being as developed as they could be. All in all, it was a good book, but not as exciting a plot as I normally read.
This latest Alexander Hawke adventure follows a phantom a Articial intelligent computer that is taking over electronic devices and causing havoc throughout the world. Hawke seeks to find out who is behind this computer and how to destroy it while seeking to eliminate the people who are trying to kill his son. A okay read.
Not the best offering from Bell, but an OK read...Hawke and his crew confront terrorism on a new front of cyber-warfare...the West is under attack by Iran and an advanced AI computer system that has achieved "singularity" and has gone rogue..."Might Makes Right and Long May She Wave Supreme"!!!

Not my favorite Hawke book, but mostly because I just wasn't a fan of the main plot line. Not exactly what I was expecting when I started reading.
