Overall I am not too sure how I feel about Hawke, which is for me, was my first Alexander Hawke novel that I have read. Sometimes I just did not get the character, things seem to come too easy for him. Of course, being a billionaire who works free-lance for the British and/or Americans might have something to do with it. Hawke comes across almost like Batman without the cape (and yes, his parents met the same type of fate as Bruce Wayne's).
