This book was a little different from my usual forte of suspense. The book is quite well written with several turns and twists. It is however, wholly impractical and improbable. The police are submitted as inept, yet get the best breaks of all in tracking the Jackal. With as much training, planning and "professionalism" that was put into the hit by the Jackal, it was disappointing that he did not succeed. I feel let down by the book in that regard. Brilliant. Intricate. Exciting without being ridiculous. Only a real operator understands how much truth there is in this book.
