This was a re-read for me, using the Kindle version, while traveling. I first read the book years ago while in college, then again later, in conjunction with a military training course. Lawrence's detailed descriptions of the terrain over which he moved and operated, and the people he encountered, give "Seven Pillars" a wonderful, travelogue-like quality.
