I am reading this series again after reading each book that has come out on a yearly basis for multiple years. I don't remember my initial feelings about this book in detail other than thinking it isn't nearly as good as Daniel Silva or Vince Flynn. On the second round, I forgot how ridiculously lucky the main character is & how the writer makes him unrealistically intuitive. This was a thoroughly enjoyable novel. Great plot, likeable characters and bad guys that are bad enough to really not like them. There are flavors of cold war and MAD which is good with nostalgia. It's also very interesting to read this 18 years after the events supposedly occurred. Remembering the state of the US and the world in 2005 and remembering how everything was evolving. Very much worth the read and I like where the series is going.
