I am not a big fan of reading books on the internet, I like the feeling of sitting with book in a cozy corner with a cup of tea and gettting into my own world but to my surprise I read this in about three sittings straight. I dont know what it was about this book. It had an effect on me. The book has gotten mixed reviews but those didnot deter from reading it cover to cover.

Basically this book is about “being different”, and about the “truth” that has so many faces because each person’s truth is different from another’s. And for Athena, the truth that she found, led her to a difficult path. I will not delve into details. You should read this terrific book yourself. It also addresses many other issues that you will find relevant for today’s world. That’s what I love about Coelho’s books. It’s timeless. I always find Paulo Coelho's books both validating and inspiring. This book is no exception. I found myself doing a lot of underlying and copying over of quotes... and a lot of self-inquiry. I love his approach to the transformative power of the arts- whether through calligraphy or dance.
