Ini buku ketiga dari karya pengarang Brazil yang kubaca. kebetulan nemu di Cosmo Library. pertama, dari desain sampulnya, aku tidak tahu klo ni buku karya Paulo, tapi karena tertarik dengan judulnya.
dari lembar awal (dan juga penutup), si pengarang sudah "meminta maaf" karena bukunya ini "beda" dari buku-bukunya yang lain, mungkin agak "keras", "sangat vulgar", dll.
kali ini pengarang berusaha menulis tentang "kesakralan atau kesucian" seks. kenapa, secara umum, seks dianggap "najis", dll. cerit ...more

Paulo Coelho emang penulis keren. Buku ini cerita tentang bagaimana seseorang memaknai kerjaan. Apapun yang terjadi pada hidupmu, kau masih bisa nentuin pilihan mau jadi apa. Aku suka sama kutipan Hymn of Isis yang dia pake sebagai cerita pembuka. Kata-katanya mirip sama lirik lagu “Bitch” nya Meredith Brooke. Kayaknya buku ini nggak ada terjemahan Indonesianya.
Aku baca buku ini versi terjemahannya Harper Collins. Nerjemahinnya bagus. Kata2nya puitis banget.

I love just about everything that he writes. Very sexy, beautiful and lyrical. People in my book club were highlighting passages to go back and read again. Something that they had never done before.
Girl quit a job. Girl lost money. Girl was pretty. Girl became prostitute. Girl is good in the trade. Girl fell in love. Girl realized that love is not everything. And all is good in the neighbourhood.
I am in love with Coelho.. not only for his famous Alchemist.. not only for his daring eleven minutes.. not only for his intriguing Zahir.. but for a simply thought about become human being.
The newest book from my favourite author Mr. Coelho...he makes an incredible themes in this books, you should read this and stop asking, just read...you will find an enormous meaning in it...
a gift again from elmer on my birthday..talks about a prostitute whos experiences in life did not hinder her from falling in love and finding her true love,.. its somewhat erotic...
mmmm..this is a hot read, told fromt he persepctive of the main character: a prostitute, it really illukinates every sexual practice and makes you wanna try them!
He talks about tantra... ha..ha..ha....
Sex is not an object, it is a subject.
