This book wore me out or I should say that this man's life wore me out. I honestly believe that this story should be required reading for anyone under 30 years old. The men who served during WW II were all heroes.I was amazed to learn how many men lost their lives on routine flights. This is the story of Louis Zamperini, an Olympic sprinter, who not only survived a plane crash in the ocean and over a month lost at sea, but he also survived beatings and starvation as a POW in Japan.
