I just finished this book, and have to say that Calvino is a genius! I had trouble following things at first and didn't think I could finish the book. It had so many stops and starts in the storyline, that I wasn't sure what it was really supposed to be about. Ten books within one! As the reader (main character of the story) tries to track down parts to a missing story ... a book he begins that is unfinished, he meets another reader with the same frustration.
