This is the first mystery of this type that I have read in a long time and I really enjoyed it. Flavia de Luce is a remarkable 11 year old girl with a vivid imagination and keen mind. When her father it arrested for murder of a stranger found dead in the cucumber garden Flavia goes to work to defend her father's innocence.
