In the story, Halley and Scarlett have been best friends for a long time. Scarlett being the bold, daring girl, while Halley is known as "Scarlett's friend". Halley leans on Scarlett until Scarlett's short-term boyfriend dies and she finds out she's carrying his baby. Now it's Halley's turn to be there for Scarlett. The book was a good, predictable teenage tale, with all the usual boy problems involved. Personally not my favorite of Sarah Dessen's, but her writing is still amazing and over-all i
