All hell breaks loose in the Districts as they rally together to face the Capitol. District 13 does exist and is the head of the war. District 12 was destroyed and all of it's citizens that survived, including Katniss and Gales' families, move into District 13. Katniss is forced to become the face, or "Mockingjay" of the rebellion. Peeta was captured by President Snow and is tortured and beaten before a rebel team resque him from the Capitol's grasp.

Well the saga of Katniss, Peeta, and Gale comes to an end. This book is very bloody and has many torturous scenes, but in the end there is hope and bittersweet love. I felt very sad when Prim met her demise. But tragedy builds strength of character. I’m not trying to make light of Prim’s death … it was such a shock though and I certainly didn’t expect it. Katniss would have never been involved in the Hunger Games if she wasn’t trying to protect her sister; it was in a way Prim that got this whol ...more

This book didn't live up to my expectations at all. I thought that Katniss would have more to do with the rebellion, but she basically just moped throughout most of the book and felt really sorry for herself. I also didn't like that Prim and Finnick died, and Katniss and Peeta ended up, as she put it, "burned mutts". Seems like the author just wanted to conclude the series, but in doing so did it hastily and without much attention to some detail. ...more

wow i can't belive the hunger games are over i can't say i'm happy with how they ended and i think cinna and finnick dieing was awfull and prim....well that was a low blow i mean she is the one that started every thing when her name was drawen and katniss tried to save her so after every thing katniss's first goal to save her sister is the one that fails ...more
