After Katniss has won the Hunger Games she should feel safe. But the Capitol is enraged by her rebellious act in the arena. Her action of defiance ignites a flame in the Districts, causing a rumor of uprisings. Gale is cold towards Katniss and so is Peeta. But the Victory Tour is coming up, and to save her family she and Peeta have to make everyone believe that her actions were only out of love.

Well the Hunger Games are back, and this time Katniss thinks she is safe, but it is the 75th Anniversary of the "sick" tournaments, and every quarter the survivors in the past are reunited for another go at the games.
Now Katniss and Peeta have to relive the terror in the arena. They form allies with other players and soon begin to figure things out. There are rumors of an uprising against Capital City, and District 13 has reappeared after believed to be extinct.

I still do not like the premise of this series and this book really dragged the first few chapters -- the review, the brooding, the melancholy contemplations..............but then it picked up and didn't go where you thought that is would and then of course, the last chapter has you signing up for the release of the third book.

This book had a little less action than the first one, but none the less it was a great read. It took me a while to finish it because I kept putting it off, nut I'm glad that I finally did get to it :) I really hope that she stays with Peeta, because even though she knew Gale first, Peeta seems so much sweeter.
