This was a great family book! With six boys and six girls in the family there are bound to be adventures and fun. I liked how Mr. Gilbreth was such an involved parent ... I loved the approach he took to table manners and teaching his children in unconventional ways. This story takes place in the days before WWI and the slang of that era was very unique by jingo! I thought it seemed crazy to call young men courting the girls "sheiks." And Mrs. Gilbreth was such a proper lady ... if anything seeme ...more
