Charlotte Brontë used a wide, descriptive vocabulary and mixed anguish with joy in a novel where the protagonist is a strong female character for the time she lived in. The romance between herself and Mr. Rochester climaxes and will leave you wanting to read more. There are a lot of twists to the story and a shocking secret that almost tears her and Rochester apart forever.

I found Jane Eyre to be a poingnent story. Full of all the dread and hope of our daily lives. She was so heavily burdened mentally from the cruel treatment of her childhood yet she never buckled under the pressure. She is a woman with whom every female can relate to in some form or fashion. Wheather it be the need for passion, God, hope, streangth, independence or simply someone to talk to. Her goodness shines through.
