This book enlightened me about the trials Japanese-Americans went through during the internment period with WW II. The facts of this time period were never discussed at length in any of my American History classes, high school or college. It seems that treatment of this group of people was near to that of the Jews by Germans, without the extreme extermination. Really enjoyed this book. I liked the historical aspect and the way it was presented -- very neutral, just how things were.
I also like the characters and how their story flowed from the past to the present.

Liked this book a lot. Reminded me of students I had in Colorado who were 2nd generation after internment.
