[close] I read this in French, but couldn't find the complete set in French, and, anyway, many readers will read only the translation. I found the novel to be based on a concept and written in a style interesting enough to carry me through all the volumes and feel a little disappointed when there were not more. Naturally, it is not even throughout and there were parts less interesting than others, but I appreciate the aesthetic and kinaesthetic elements and the introspective reactions of the narrator, even if he is not my favorite type of protagonist.
