I chose to add the autobiography of First Lady Laura Bush to the bookshelf, because of her constant support of reading and literacy across the U.S. Laura Bush actually earned her Master's Degree in Library Science from UT before she and George W. moved to the White House. Because of her love for reading, she used her position as First Lady to support librarian recruitment initiatives and travel the country encouraging literacy. She has always been my favorite First Lady, and I found her autobiography to be very interesting.
