I started reading Jeaniene Frost this year, after hearing so much about Cat and Bones (especially Bones!), and just had to give it a try. Good choice! I love this series, and the spin-offs are just great too. I like this one better than

First Drop of Crimson (Night Huntress World, #1) by Jeaniene Frost

This book is much better than the other Huntress World book. In this Mencheres, who is the oldest vampire we had met in the series is on a road that could mean his ending until he meets Kira Graceling. then everything changes.

There are some weak points in this book- the biggest being that apparently Mencheres has a nemesis that has been around since the beginning of the series and it seems weird that we've never even heard his name in passing in the series. It seems like somewhere along the way ...more

Eternal Kiss of Darkness is again, another winner for Jeaneine Frost. Jeanienne Frost is my favorite Urban Fantasy author. She is an AMAZING writer. She can make a scene so clear and vivid, describing everything to a T. Her books are absolutely addicting, that will keep you begging for more. I can't say enough good things about Frost's books!

That being said, this is the second book in the Night Huntress World series. A Spin-off of her Night Huntress series staring Bones and Cat. That being said, this is the second book in the Night Huntress World series. A Spin-off of her Night Huntress series staring Bones and Cat. After falling in love with Bones and then Spade, I thought Mrs
Frost wouldn't be able to make another that I could love as much as them, but I was so wrong. I'm torn between the three, all of which are perfect men. Sheesh, she really knows how to tease a gal.

This time around, Mencheres is the man of the book who is Bones’s mentor and sort of father figure and master vampire. I thought it was cute that he refers himself as “older than dirt”. Kira, happens to meet Mencheres in a less than great situation. Since Mencheres is being beaten badly by ghouls, and thinking he's merely human she gets herself half killed by saving him. But Mencheres has no way of
erasing her memories so now she's forced to stay with him for a whole week until his blood wears off.

I loved both Mencheres and Kiras characters. They had great chemistry together. I was begging for the
teasing to stop and for them to finally get together! It saved for some worth waiting scenes, for sure.
It was cute that Kira was the first to boss him around so lightly and he let her. I recall him shocked
when she actually slapped him. No one just slaps Mencheres. It was so cute how they acted together. Almost as if they were always together. It really fit for the story.

I can't wait for Vlad to have a story. He was my favorite side character in the Night Huntress series. He's always witty and dark. He loves to start trouble with Bones, but I find it pretty cute. His story is going to be amazing. Please write his story Jeaniene. *puppy dog eyes*

So, like all Jeaneine Frost's books, it is absolutely worth reading. Go out and get this book, and if you haven't read any of her books yet, well what are you waiting for??!? You won't regret it. ...more

Jeaniene Frost has done it again. She managed to write another great funny, romantic vampire book and keep it fresh.

I didn't know in the beginning how I was going to feel about Mencheres having his own book, but I was not disappointed. JF had her work cut out for her in convincing me that Mencheres deserved in HEA, and she did. I fell in love with Mencheres right along with Kira.
