I'm hooked on this series. Cat is a great protagonist, kicks some serious undead butt and has a snarky, fun sense of humor and major parental issues to make things interesting , curses like a longshoreman and drinks gin like it was water. Her vampire beau Bones is....well, Bones is MINE! Hands off. I also like her new FBI colleagues. A nice bunch of tough, likeable characters with great banter among them like a good ensemble TV show.
The love scenes were hot, but a little over-the top this time.

08/06/09- 5 stars- These books get better and better. I really love these characters. oh and chapter 32...

7/17/12- On this reread I was engaged much faster. I think this book is just better than the first. There are a lot more characters and a lot more action and just more stuff happening. I have to say that I'm not clear on why Cat is so desirable. I mean I get the romance between her and Bones- vampires and destiny and all that... I just don't know why so many other people are in love with her

It's been four years since Cat left Bones behind to protect him from her new life. Now Cat is head of an FBI team dedicated to hunting down the more homicidal vampires. However, Cat has a price on her head and each hunt gets her closer and closer to being caught. Only Bones can save her, but if he finds her he won't let her leave again...ever.

This is the second book in the Night Huntress series (after Halfway to the Grave) and I was really looking forward to reading it. There's a huge gap betwe

Couldn't put this one down! Bones and Cat are at it again ... with Cat now working for the FBI, Bones has no choice but to become her partner in all ways. We meet some great characters in this one, some we love and some we hate. The relationship between Cat and Bones stayed fresh and I think I may have fallen even a little bit more in love with Bones in this one!

Re-read (08/03/2011)

I still love this series and I still love Cat and Bones. Maybe even more so then the first time I read these books
