I Love L.J. Smith. I think she has a vivid imagination and I love reading her books. I didn't fall in love with the Vampire Diaries, like everyone else did, but since I read for the first time a few months ago, I decided to give this one a read just for my own curiousity. I think this story is better than the others, but I thought the writing was very choppy - but maybe thats just how she wanted her teenage characters to talk?!?! I liked it and will continue the series but it took me a while to get through. I wasn't in love with it and not wanting to put it down like some other books I have read. Want to read the next one soon to be up to date in the series.
