The follow up to Vampire Academy was just as good, if not better than the first. I really respect and appreciate that Richelle Mead does not feel the need to censor or dumb down her writing for younger audiences. She doesn't shy away from discussing sex, but keeps it on a level that seemed very realistic and reminded me of my high school years. Vampire Academy has made it's way up to the top of my favourite series list. That always seem to happen whenever I get into a new series. But these are the kind of books I would recommend to strangers on the street who really don't care about my opinion! So anyone who reads this and hasn't read vampire academy yet... you probably should... and if you hate it... Sorry!
