A wonderful conclusion to the Mortal Instruments trilogy. Clare continued to craft a wonderfully detailed world and complicated tale, throwing in intriguing twists and turns. All of the characters grew and matured. Each was touched by tragedy and love and came out stronger for it. Ahhh... At last the five star read I was waiting for from this series. Fantastic read, I feel that the author really came into the story with this one. I didn't have any of those feelings of being lost in this one, I wanted to hang on to each and every word.'

Clary Fray has had a rough time. She discovered that she is a Shadowhunter, that she has fallen in love with her brother and that her father is a racist homicidal maniac. Now Clary is travelling to Idris, the true home of all Shadowhunters to discover more about her abilities and to aid in the fight against Valentine. But there are those who would seek to protect her, and those who would betray her, and Clary knows nothing of the world in which she finds herself...least of all who to trust.

This is such a strange progression for me.

I think that all of the mortal instruments series was better the the Twilight series (sorry Twi-hards). Much more action and little romance but there is always room for sexual tensions.
