I've been kinda reluctant about starting another Vampire series, but I'm SO glad I took Adrienne's suggestion and read this one <3
First few pages were kinda hard for me, because there were so many new words and unfamiliar slangs, but I got used to it after a couple of chapters and fell in love with it and its fascinating characters immediately.

I liked it. It was a little slow going in the beginning and that glossary before the book starts was almost overwhelming. But about 50 or so pages in I found the rhythm and didn't want to stop. By the end it was in a perfect place that I wanted to know more, good thing I have the next book handy! :)

I guess one could call this a classic paranormal romance...back from the days of flipper cell phones and calling a cab rather than an Uber.
A fun read if you like this genre, which I do! So much so, in fact, that I put all my reading challenges challenge aside again and jumped into the next book in the series, Lover Eternal. I was not feeling well (side-effects of my second dose of COVID vaccine) and I needed comfort, which for some reason I always get from sexy vampires. If that's wrong, I don' ...more

A brilliant start to the series, wrapping you up in the dark world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood. While the story focuses on Wrath and Beth, it gives you just enough of the other Brothers to draw you into the series and leave you wanting to discover their stories.
Hmm... just finished the second part of this two part recording and it wasn't the end of the book. Tohr just reported that he'd seen Haver's ask Z to kill Wrath. Um... will have to check with audible to find out what's wrong with the recording.

Wow. I devoured this book! It was written very well, the new additions to the genre in vampire lore extremely interesting and exciting. I loved all the characters, and though it switched from character to character, I didn't find myself minding, in fact, I really enjoy it and relish the need to devour the rest of the series! Highly recommended!!

This series has me captivated! I love everything about the storyline, the suspense, the sex, the characters, and the love between the couples. I can't wait to dive into the next book
