Funny, great characters, action, romance, funny. The first part of this book is about Dez (human) who is a detective and Mace (lion). Plenty of laughs. They used to be classmates until she moved, now they've bounced back into each other & now they're adults. Dez is investigating a murder that happened at the pride's place and one of the suspects is Missy (Mace's sister), who was very mean to Dez in school. Christmas Pride was a nice story, a little different from the ones I've read but I liked it. It didn't have the the big happy end, but it finished with the prospect of it.

Shaw's Tail wasn't bad either, but I hate to read about more than one couple in one book. By the time I stopped thinking about the first story I had almost finished the second.

The thing that got me a little annoyed was about dog person or cat thing, because in the end they are not so different.

Very good start to this series. Smart and fun writing, had me laughing out loud many different times. Great leading men, and great women who make them work for what they want. What can be better than a big old lion man purring when you pet him? I loved it
