What Members Thought
A wonderful read! This is character-driven, crisply written fiction that just happens to involve a murder mystery in a historical setting. Penney has that rare talent of creating characters with amazing clarity through their dialogue, however sparse it may be. It was these characters that kept me diving into the book until it was finished more than the mystery of it, though that was certainly enticing as well.
