I read this book as part of my quest to read a book written by an author from each of the 196 countries in the world. This author is from the Dominican Republic.

I didn't really enjoy this book, though I do recognize the depth of the ideas and themes in the novel. The book contains the experiences of many characters - not just Oscar Wao - and I wondered if the title really should refer to just Oscar.
