This is an unusual book, written from the point of view of the novice Adso, who is accompanying William of Baskerville on an investigation at the Abbey. But, as you can imagine, things are never simple, and there are murders during their time there.
This is a murder mystery from medieval times, it helps you learn and understand the Benedictine monks and how they lived and shared their lives together, usually in comfort in comparison with how the local villagers lived just outside the abbey.

Honestamente, me pareció bastante aburrido, porque tenía muchas partes innecesariamente largas, aunque sí tuvo sus partes emocionantes. Me pregunté si estos capítulos largos y aburridos estaban ahí para retener la autenticidad de la manera de escribir de un monje del siglo 12. Guillermo me gustó mucho como personaje.
