I don't like most of Marquez's works that include subject of love cause they're nearly always about psychical love mixed with obsession - I put it down to Latino mentality and thouhgts on love and sex.

Amazing book! Marquez is a wonderful storyteller and here he writes a fairytale for grown-ups. I intended to read the book and then watch the movie but now after finishing it I don’t want to stick to that plan anymore because the book in itself was so good that I don’t see what new elements the movie could bring (only ruin it maybe).
The Romanian translation was also very good with impressive lexical choices. Ms. Sarmiza Leahu has just become my new role model.
