I was pleased to open this book as one of the picks during a year + with the "Postal Book Swap F" group. This is our second year send books around and the picks are entirely secret until everyone has seen everything.

Well written but not as enjoyable as half of a yellow sun. A look into Nigerian society but doesn't take on the same larger themes.

I really enjoyed reading this and was thoroughly pulled into the characters, the story, the setting. I liked the insights into Nigerian city life and the visit to the village setting. The obsessively Christian household routine was intriguing, and the domestic abuse delicately handled.
