What Members Thought

The Rwandan genocide that occured, was something I really had no awareness of here at the time. Which of course, is something I think is still a problem in the US. It was the movie Hotel Rwanda that brought the horror to us. So then after that movie I read this book. A book chronicling things that seem to be beyond my imagining. But I will say the reality of the situation and the fears really came through in this book. Shocking me and bringing me to tears. A powerful book.

Certainly the best book on the subject of the Rwandan genocide and an out and out good book in general. Before I read it, I wasn't really interested in the subject; since reading it, I foster a greater interest in Rwanda and genocide in general. We Wish to Inform You is an excellent way to understand how atrocities happen globally and how they can be prevented. Prepare for a dismal picture of humanity lined with the hope of gaining a better world tomorrow through awareness.

This is such a chilling and horrifying account of the events leading up to, during, and after the 1994 genocide in Rwanda that I still cannot do more than say how enraged it made me feel, and how utterly ANGRY I am at the international community (Bill Clinton & Madeleine Albright in particular) for doing absolutely NOTHING and ALLOWING it to continue.
Why?!?!?
Why?!?!?

I really was absorbed by this book. However it could use a glossary and maybe a chronology too.
